2021 National French Exam Information will be available soon
Students will take the National French Exam during their French class period. Students who have French class during periods 1, 3, 5, or 7 will take the exam on Thursday, March 14. Students who have French class during periods 2, 4, or 6 will take the exam on Friday, March 15.
Fees are $10 and are due by Friday, Feb. 8. For registration information, please refer to the handout (exam information) by clicking on the button to the right. |
In order to study, students may see their French teacher to check out paper and pencil tests from previous test administrations. Also, students may see the specifications link (what to study?) to find out the topics that could appear on the Grand Concours.

Le Grand Concours 2018 Results
Students in all levels of French who have registered to take the Grand Concours will take the exam during their French class period.
On Wednesday, March 21, students in class periods 2, 4 and 6 will take the exam, location is room 2428. On Thursday, March 22, students in class periods 1, 3, 5 and 7 will take the exam, location is room 2428. Students will need to bring their fully charged surface and earbuds. Le Grand concours (National French Exam)
The French teachers are happy to announce the opportunity for your son or daughter to take the National French Exam (or Grand Concours)! This is a multiple-choice exam that includes listening comprehension, vocabulary and grammar in context and readings. Nationwide, over 90,000 students of French take this exam annually. There is no failure nor are there any negative consequences for taking this test. Students scoring in the top 50% earn a certificate. There is also the potential to be awarded ribbons, medals and other prizes. French teachers will administer the Grand Concours during French class periods 2, 4, and 6 on Wednesday, March 21 and periods 1, 3, 5 and 7 on Thursday, March 22. Your son or daughter has the opportunity to take the exam during his or her French class period.
The last day to turn in the parent permission form and $5 payment is Friday, February 2. See attached registration form for more information. Students will receive a hardcopy of the registration form in class as well as the specifications for material that may be on the exam.
